Building Regulations Legal Update

Changes to parts of the Building Regulations in 2010 have health and safety implications for organisations throughout England and Wales.
This course will give an overview of recent changes to the Approved Documents and will cover known changes or issues currently under consultation. Emphasis will be placed on the main changes in 2010, with particular regard to:
- Part L: Conservation of Fuel and Power - the changes to Part L relate to the refurbishment and renovation of existing buildings including changes to thermal elements, plant performance and air handling units
Reference will also be made to Parts F (Ventilation), G (Hygiene) and J (Combustion Appliances and Fuel Storage Systems), and is updated to include a session on BS 9999 and how it can be used as alternative to compliance with Regulation B1 means of warning and escape.
